In the Stegback order management system, the statuses track the lifecycle of each order, from when it is placed until it is completed. Here’s an explanation of each status:
- Created:
The order has been placed, and a shipment has been scheduled, but it is not yet ready for dispatch. This status indicates that the seller or warehouse is preparing the necessary details for shipping, such as generating a shipping label or organizing the package.
- Ready to Ship:
The order is fully prepared and packaged, awaiting pickup by the carrier or a delivery service. At this stage, the item is ready to leave the seller’s location, and shipping labels are usually attached.
- Shipped:
The package has been handed over to the Shipping provider, and it is officially on its way to the destination. This status confirms that the shipment process has begun, and the parcel is in the shipping provider’s possession.
- In Transit:
The package is currently moving between facilities or is on the way to its destination. During this phase, it may be transferred through various transit points, such as distribution centers or hubs, and might travel via different transportation modes (e.g., air, road, or sea).
- Out for Delivery:
The package has reached the local delivery hub and is now with the delivery driver, en route to the final delivery address. Typically, this status means the package will be delivered on the same day.
- Delivered:
The package has successfully reached its final destination and has been handed over to the customer. This status confirms that the delivery is complete, and no further movement is expected.
- Return Started:
The customer has initiated a return process, either by contacting the seller or returning the item via a return shipping method. The package may be on its way back to the seller or is in the process of being prepared for return shipping.
- Return Received:
The returned package has been received by the seller or warehouse, and the return process is complete. Depending on the seller’s policies, a refund or replacement process may follow this status. - Canceled:
The order has been canceled, either by the buyer or the seller. This could occur before the package is shipped, or even during the shipment process, depending on the circumstances. No further shipment activity will take place for this order.
These statuses provide a clear overview of the different stages an order might go through, from creation to delivery or return.
